Lisa Reese, who specializes in treating trauma, has over 23 years of experience in behavioral health treatment, over a decade of which has been in substance use treatment. She has worked in residential rehabilitation, detox, young adult male residential programs, crisis intervention counseling, and counseled our nation's valued veterans.
With a certification in Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention & Counseling, and Trauma-Informed Care, Lisa has experience treating various types of trauma such as sexual assault, domestic violence, abuse and neglect (child and adult survivors), community violence (gang-related, street fights, bank robbery, and prison violence), and disasters, both natural and human-caused. Her approach to treating trauma involves creating a safe space for the client by building a strong rapport, being transparent, and taking a strength-based approach. She is also an American Red Cross Disaster Relief Specialist, Shelter Supervisor, and Volunteer Training Advisor and has deployed to natural disasters nationwide.
